IMIS offers two qualifications:
Certified Infant Massage Instructor (CIMI):
No previous experience or qualifications required.
This qualification is perfect for a rewarding career change.
Home study students complete practical work by uploading video footage for the IMIS training team to review.
This international qualification can be used throughout Australia as well as overseas.
Learn how to teach baby massage techniques to parents to help relieve their child's wind, reflux, sleeping difficulties and much more.
Train in standard recommendations and techniques in addition to adaptations for premature infants, children with additional needs and massage for older children (from birth through to adolescence).
On completion of training you will be qualified to run baby massage classes, offer private lessons and home visit appointments for parents or incorporate infant massage instruction for parents into your current line of work.
Everything you need is supplied including a demonstration doll, massage technique footage, manuals and association membership.
Lifetime support is provided for all students both during and after training via phone and email.
Paediatric Massage Consultant (PMC):
The PMC level qualification is for professionals with prior training in a related field.
If you have a qualification in health, allied health, natural therapies or early childhood education, you meet the requirements for the Paediatric Massage Consultant qualification.

This international qualification can be used throughout Australia as well as overseas.

As a PMC you can be paid hundreds of dollars for providing presentations to professional groups. In addition to working with parents, consultants raise awareness of the benefits of massage among professionals through short, theory-based, 1-hour presentations. Consultants present to professional groups that provide services to parents, infants and older children.

Competency tasks / Assessments
Practical assessments are submitted by filming
yourself and forwarding or uploading the recordings for marking.
Detailed reports are issued to ensure any
misunderstandings or mistakes can be clarified & corrected prior to certification.
