This face-to-face infant massage course provides practical, guided training within a supportive classroom environment.
Over 3 days, students learn infant massage techniques, responsive touch principles, infant cues, communication, positioning, relaxation techniques, and ways to adapt sessions for different children, families, and situations.
Training includes:
- practical demonstrations
- guided hands-on learning
- interactive discussions
- infant development education
- cue-based and family-centred practice principles
- opportunities to practise techniques using dolls
- practice facilitation sessions
Practice sessions may involve role-play scenarios and, where available, volunteer parents and babies.
Throughout the course, emphasis remains on supporting and guiding parents to massage their own babies, with techniques demonstrated on dolls during training.
